Supporting butler culture through training, certifying and delivering

The butler business family is a structure in which the All Japan Butler Association, which trains and certifies butlers, stands as the parent body, while the Japan Butler Academy provides the place to learn and THE BUTLER delivers those butlers to clients.

Butler Bell (Yuichi Ishii), as the third president of the All Japan Butler Association, is involved in all three ventures. On the foundation of the manners and certification the association has carried for over 130 years, the academy trains the next generation of butlers, and THE BUTLER brings those butlers to clients.

The roles differ, but the aim is one: to root an authentic butler culture in Japan that unites Japanese hospitality with the Western butler. The three official sites are each run independently as entry points to that aim.

Understanding each role reveals the whole butler business

The division of roles is the connection among the three ventures: the association keeps the standard, the academy trains people, and THE BUTLER delivers the service.

The All Japan Butler Association is the parent body that sets the criteria for calling oneself a butler and records its manners and ethics for the next generation. The Japan Butler Academy, as the training institution the association supervises, offers a place where even those with no experience can aim to become a butler. And THE BUTLER is the service brand that brings trained, certified butlers to clients.

If you are viewing this for the first time, tracing from the parent association makes it easier to grasp the flow from training to certification to service. The third president, Butler Bell, supports the whole as its president and as a butler who still stands on the front line.
